My first exhibition in Copenhagen, Denmark

“Mechanical delusions and other illustrated stories” kind of a long title but is at least honest about the whole idea of the exhibition. Actually, I am very happy to say that I am preparing the full extended version of the exhibition for next late Spring 2012 with new additional pieces ;D

The exhibition was made at Københavns Kulturcenter’s  (KKC) Café Kant located in Drejervej 15-17 – DK-2400 København NV (Copenhagen, DK), from 17th/09 to 30th/10/11. In the building, the danish artist Eva Høyer  was also having her exhibition “Humor and Love” and she was very kind and helped me a lot with the exhibition logistics. I really thank her and the KKC and specially Mr. Alberto Malisani for gave me the oportunity to show my work there. The exhibition opening was made during a Concert in Copenhagen of the venezuelan music ensamble A TRIO – Música de Venezuela, as part of their european concerts tour.

This exhibition was very important for me and it was happy to count with my parents’ visit to Copenhagen,  my friends, and nice people I knew there. I am grateful for all your help and support MUCHAS GRACIAS 😉

    En esta excelente exposición, la autora escoge la figura humana como protagonista y, a través de bioformas fantásticas, va relatando diversos episodios que conmueven e interesan al hombre de hoy. La artista propone a través de su obra una reflexión que pueda conducirnos a una existencia más solidaria con la diversidad, con el otro, con el que tiene una apariencia diferente, pero una vida interior similar.
    Los personajes surgen como de una inspiración legendaria, cuyos rasgos nos recuerdan a aquellas deidades creadas por el hombre para explicar lo inexplicable…
    La muestra es recibida por el espectador como una invitación a abordar sus conflictos existenciales a partir de su propia narrativa interior. Una convocatoria, a asumir nuestras inquietudes e interrogantes sobre la plena aceptación de lo no convencional, de lo otro y, en síntesis, del otro, para buscar juntos nuevas formas de relacionarnos.
    Finalmente, impresiona la gran fuerza estética de este trabajo, colorido y estilo bien definidos que nunca desamparan a la artista y que terminan por enriquecer aun más el contenido temático la obra. ¡¡Felicitaciones!!
